We remember and honour those who gave their lives in the two world wars of the last century, and also those who have died in all the conflicts right up to this present day so that we can continue to live in freedom and safety.
Lilian Occomore . Lilian was discharged from hospital on Tuesday and is recuperating at home.Ministry Of Film . Helpers wanted. We plan to continue opening the church one Saturday night every month ... 28/11/09...29/12/09 to have fun, socialise and invite people to watch a film, and also to engage with the Local Community. Meet at The Vicarage, 18 Victoria Road, at 11a.m. on Tuesday 17th November for a shared lunch, when we will review this year and plan next year’s trips.Christmas Journey Tickets . If you would like to come and see the dress rehearsal of the Christmas Journey Live at Marsh Farm on Sunday 29th November at 4.00p.m. please contact us from this afternoon onwards. Tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Ideally we would like the tickets to go family and friends of the cast as well as church members. This way it frees up tickets for the actual performances so that members of the public can get to see the show. We are still desperately seeking Joseph – please contact us if you see him! ~ Paul and Julie Hardy 325234Prayer Café . Saturday 14th November from 11.30a.m. – 1.30p.m. Everyone is welcome to come in for a chance to sit quietly in an atmosphere of peace and calm, or for prayer, or just simply to join us for refreshments and a chat. Don’t feel obliged to stay for the full two hours, just come and go as you wish.Anglican Christmas Bazaar . Saturday 21st November. The bazaar runs from 2.00p.m. until 5.00p.m., with refreshments continuing until 8.00p.m. to coincide with switching on of the town centre lights. Please speak to Christine Hardy or any of our stewards if you can help to set up on the previous evening, or on the day.Toy Service . Our annual Methodist/Anglican Toy Service will be on 6th December at 10.30a.m. Donated toys will go to Chelmsford Women’s Refuge and Chelmsford Prison.Santa Train . 6th December. Come and join the carollers up and down the branch line in the afternoon.Light up a Life . This annual service will be at 4.30p.m. on 6th December in this church, with a procession to the bandstand in Queen Elizabeth Square.Other Events .Thurs 12th Nov 10.00a.m. Catholic led shared service of Holy Communion,
followed by coffee in the meeting room. Next Sunday at 11.15a.m. Revd Clifford Newman will lead our morning service, which will include the sacrament of Holy Communion.Door - John Coffee - Sheila |
