RESULTS OF ELECTIONS
OF THE LAITY AT ANNUAL MEETING OF PARISHIONERS AND ANNUAL PAROCHIAL
CHURCH MEETING, LOW SUNDAY, 30th MARCH, 2008 These meetings were chaired by the Revd Paul Haworth and Clerked by Mrs Gillian Wragg. The following appointments were made:-
Churchwardens (also Parochial Church Council members ex-officio) for the coming year: Janet Tipping & Roger Partridge
Deanery Synod members [Chelmsford South Deanery] (also Parochial Church Council members ex-officio) - for the 3-year synodical term ending in 2011: Jean Hardy, Roger Partridge, Margaret Partridge
Parochial Church Council members for a 3-year period ending in 2011: Nicola Cambell, Ray Hargreaves, Bob Hemmings,
NB In 2006 the following persons were elected Parochial Church Council members for a 3-year period ending in 2009: David Courtenay, Christine Hardy
NB In 2007 the following person was elected Parochial Church Council member for a 3-year period ending in 2010: Alan Pearson
NB The Churchwardens have first refusal of one seat at the Joint Church Executive, one seat at the Joint Church Fabric Committee and two seats at the Joint Church Worship & Outreach Committee The following additional lay appointments were made for the coming year: Joint Church Executive - no election, PCC to determine in the event of the Churchwardens opting out Joint Church Fabric Committee "second" - no appointment made, deferred to PCC Joint Church Worship & Outreach Committee - deferred to PCC in the event of the Churchwardens opting not to take both seats Chelmer Crouch Group Council - Christine Hardy & Julie Hardy Independent Financial Examiner - Raymond Andrews Child Protection Officer - Margaret Partridge
At their first meeting the newly elected PCC will appoint a secretary, a treasurer, an electoral roll officer and a standing committee for the coming year.
